SoloMaid ("we") makes booking, payments, and client-communication software for independent house cleaners. This page explains what information we handle and how, in plain language.
To run the service: booking requests and confirmations, appointment reminders, schedule updates, messages between a cleaner and her clients, payment records and receipts, and signing cleaners in with a texted code. We also use what we learn to improve the product. We do not sell personal information, and we don't show ads.
Card payments and payouts are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and bank details go directly to Stripe and never touch SoloMaid's servers — we keep only the booking-level records a cleaner needs for her books: who paid, how much, when, and how. Cash, check, and other off-app payments are recorded only as entries the cleaner marks herself.
Solo — the assistant inside the app — drafts reply suggestions, weekly summaries, and similar text for the cleaner using an AI service provider (Anthropic). Message content is processed for that drafting under contract terms that prohibit our provider from using it to train their models. Routine reminders and receipts are simple templates the cleaner controls with on/off switches.
Clients receive appointment-related text messages from their cleaner through SoloMaid after providing a mobile number on a cleaner's booking page or directly to their cleaner. Message frequency varies — typically a few messages around each appointment. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Only with the service providers that make SoloMaid work — our text-message carrier (Twilio), our payment processor (Stripe), our hosting provider (Cloudflare), and our AI provider (Anthropic) — and only so they can deliver the service. Cleaners see the information their own clients provide; no cleaner can see another cleaner's business.
The app uses one cookie: the one that keeps a cleaner signed in. No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics.
Data is stored with reputable cloud providers, encrypted in transit, and kept only as long as it's needed to run the service.
Cleaners can delete their account from inside the app (Account → Delete my account), which removes the business, its clients, messages, and records from the service. You can also email us to request correction or deletion of anything — cleaner or client alike.
SoloMaid is a business tool and isn't directed to children under 13.
